Below is a list of resources in which the employees are not obligated to report sexual violence to TItle IX or the police

CARE Advocates

CARE Advocates are available to support and advocate for UCLA student survivors. You can reach a CARE Advocate at (310) 794-4959 or advocate@careprogram.ucla.edu. The CARE Advocates are located in the CARE Office in John Wooden Center West, 1st Floor.

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling is available for all survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, no matter when an assault occurred. Crisis counseling is also available 24 hours a day by phone. Click here to learn more about CAPS. CAPS can offer:

  • Short-term counseling and psychotherapy
  • Psychiatric consultation and medication
  • Crisis management
  • Group therapy
  • Wellness Skills Groups
  • Referrals to the CARE Advocate and to the Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica

To make an appointment, you can call (310) 825 - 0768 or visit CAPS in John Wooden Center West. If you have never been to CAPS and you would like to walk in for an appointment, it is recommended that you come during brief screening hours (Monday – Thursday 8 am – 4 pm; Friday 9 am – 4 pm) to start the process of entering the system.

Rape Treatment Center at Santa Monica – UCLA Medical Center

Emergency medical and counseling services are available in-person 24 hours a day up to 5 days after an assault. Past this window of time, the Rape Treatment Center (RTC) can still provide you with resources such as counseling and advocacy services. All RTC services are completely free of charge. Crisis counseling is also available 24 hours a day by phone, no matter when an assault occurred.

To contact RTC, call (424) 259 – 6000 and press 3 to be connected to a counselor. You can visit RTC at 1250 16th St, Santa Monica, CA 90404. RTC can assist with paying for transportation to their emergency medical clinic, or UCPD can drive you.

Psychological services are available for staff and faculty.
