Title IX Info

The Title IX Office at UCLA is responsible for the university's compliance with national Title IX policy, which enforces universities to take active steps to prevent and respond to sexual violence. The Title IX Office takes reports of sexual harassment or sexual violence involving any member of the campus community. Visit www.sexualviolence.ucla.edu to learn more about the Title IX Office.

The national Title IX policy states, "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance." This includes sexual violence and sexual harassment. The University of California also has also enacted further policies regarding sexual violence, which are found at the link below.
